NOTE: U-Carts must be returned within 2 hours of pickup. The latest rental time is 1:30 PM, and all U-Carts must be returned by 3:30 PM. Exceeding the 2-hour window incurs a $50 per hour late fee. Failure to return by 3:30 PM may result in a $500 - $1,000 retrieval fee. Plan ahead and call with any questions.
**VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS**
✔ Bumper Hitch Required:
Vehicles must have a proper bumper hitch. No exceptions.
✔ Truck Towing Capacity: Your vehicle must have a minimum towing capacity of 7,500 lbs. A 3/4 ton truck minimum.
✔ Valid Documentation:
Proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license are required at the time of rental.
✔ Pintle Receiver Hitch:
A pintle hitch is necessary to tow the U-Cart safely. If you don’t have a pintle receiver hitch, one will be provided with the rental, but if not returned, there is an $80 charge.
NOTE: All vehicle requirements must be met at the time of rental. Rentals will not be issued if your vehicle does not comply. Please call ahead with any questions regarding towing requirements.
⚠️ U-Cart Warning: NO Mixing Concrete Yourself
For your safety, adding concrete is strictly prohibited—only a trained Bert & Mary representative is allowed to load the mixer. These machines are powerful, heavy-duty equipment designed for industrial use. Improper handling can result in serious injury, including crushed limbs, severe burns from overheating components, or even fatal accidents.
No outside concrete is allowed (e.g., Home Depot, other suppliers). Using unauthorized materials or attempting to add concrete yourself will result in penalties and may void your rental agreement.

Truck Towing Requirements
Your vehicle must meet the towing capacity for safe transport based on how much concrete is in the mixer:
